Located about two miles east of Billings, Four Dances Recreation Area is a popular place for hiking, mountain biking, and other outdoor recreation. It is located in Billings, Montana. This area has a mix of natural and developed habitats, including native sagebrush/grassland, rocky outcrops near river cliffs, and cottonwood riparian habitats along the Yellowstone River. The Four Dances trail is a 1.5-mile hike and is part of a Special Recreation Management Area. The Yellowstone River Parks Association and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) protected 765 acres of undeveloped open space and native sagebrush/grassland.
